FAVORITE PIZZA IN HOUSTON
GLUTEN FREE
Im going to go first on this one as my wife Madison has Celiac so pizza had traditionally not been common for us until Pizaros changed our lives and then Via 313 made it ok for us to die. Both only offer their Detroit Style as Gluten Free but both are incredible whether you have to eat Gluten Free or not.
Both take gluten free very seriously so if you have no wiggle room on potential cross contamination, these are great. Via 313 also has a number of appetizers and desserts that can also be gluten free. Via 313 is better fresh. Pizarros reheats better.
Just Good Ol’ Pizza

Luigi’s Pizzeria - In Midtown on Almeda, Bellaire on Bissonet, and down in League City
Piola with their Midtown location was specifically recommended.
FAVORITE PLACE TO GO FOR A LONG WALK OR RUN
Buffalo Bayou Park Trail (paved) - There is a wide paved hike and bike trail, as well as a sidewalk width jogging trail. There are parking lots on Allen Parkway down towards I-45. You also can park on Jackson Hill between Yale and Shepherd as there is a pedestrian bridge that takes you across.
Rice University Running trail (crushed granite) is pretty sexy too - This trail loops around the Rice University campus and, on it’s east end, runs along the Houston Medical Center. For those longer runners, you can run down Dunlavy early in the morning from Buffalo Bayou. There’s also an HEB to stop and pee at along the way.
Memorial Park (crushed granite, some paved) - This is the old reliable and by far the most recommended. This also offers a new rubber running track that is located south of Memorial. Previously this was just an almost 3 mile loop that was nice enough. Now they have trails that wind in and out of the nature areas, as well as the two land bridges over Memorial Drive with trails on the other side as well. Plenty to explore with a walk or run.
VETERNARIAN
North Loop Vet Clinic (407 North Loop E Houston) - Super low cost. Not the best at costumer service but they’ve always been great with our rescues.
Heights Hospital for Animals on 20th - Excellent at pulling 15 year old chihuahua teeth
