30 Day Lifestyle & Nutrition Kickstart

The 30 Day Kickstart is an opportunity to slow down and reset our nutrition and health through weekly focus points and challenges, personal accountability from a coach, and before and after measuring points.

The Kickstart is broken down in to 5 challenges, each building on what was experienced the challenge before, which all lead to large differences through small changes in our daily routines.

The idea is not to abstain, diet, go without. If you would like to take on a quick cut challenge, I will not stand in your way. But the hope here instead is that you find something that works well for the life you already live. Not everyone wants to live on chicken and vegetables alone. And not everyone wants to do what it would take to look shredded year round.

We would be very happy if we simply maximized the opportunities that are already within our control.

We all do, however, want to avoid getting sick easily, having low energy, and having a body that is less than capable. All of these are impacted directly by the foods we consistently choose to eat.

GOALS

Body confidence- I often joke that the whole reason we workout and worry about our diet is to look better naked. And there is truth to that BUT there is an important distinction: to look better naked for you. Your body is amazing. But if you’ve fallen off track with food or with sleep or you’ve been smashed by stress for a while now, you may not feel that way. This little kickstart can remind you of just how awesome that body of yours is.

Mental Health/Stress Management- Turns out the food we eat directly impacts the chemistry in our brain. What’s more, turns out the habits that we knowingly or unknowingly operate by have a profound impact on how we perceive ourselves in this world. This 30 day period can serve as a way to knock down the cob webs or to clear your vision a bit. When you are proud of your daily habits you are then able to be proud of how you function in this world. And at the end of the day that is what we must strive for because life goes fast and ultimately that’s what we will have to look back on.

Performance- Finally, simply put, some of y’all work way too hard in the gym not to see more progress in your body composition. Please, for my sake, take a break from the crazy life and give yourself 30 days to see what focusing on what’s best for you could do. For the two reasons above but also so you get the chance to see what your body can DO when it is fueled and recovered properly. Many of you already do the actually hard stuff which is showing up and getting through these workouts. But you lose so much opportunity with the simpler things. Give me the chance to show you what you are capable of.

FAQs

IS THERE A SPECIFIC DIET I WILL HAVE TO FOLLOW?

This is not about a specific food or foods that you must eat while abstaining from other specific foods in order to reach your goals. Once you identify your goal with your coach, you will begin to explore the different paths that will take you that direction.

The core principles that we will use will certainly give you structure, but how you build around that structure is entirely up to you. Your coach is there to help and we certainly are able to send example food logs that have worked well for athletes in the past. But the idea of this kickstart is for you to simply double down on your food and lifestyle choices. Drink some more water, get one more vegetable in each day, pay attention to your protein, and add another hour of sleep, stuff like that.

The structure and the accountability from your coach can help an athlete achieve quite a bit and gain a ton of confidence in their ability to take care of themselves going forward, all in just 30 days.

HOW OFTEN WILL I HEAR FROM MY COACH?

Depending on the version of the kickstart you choose, you will meet with your coach at the start to establish your goals and to gather your starting data points, and again at the end for the exit interview and data comparison. During the 30 days each version of the challenge has a different offering regarding your coach monitoring your food and lifestyle logs and getting you feedback once or twice per week.

IS THIS A WEIGHT-LOSS CHALLENGE?

The first answer is no. You will not be encouraged to follow any guidelines that would lead to extreme weight loss in such a short period of time.

Of course, tightening up our nutrition, sleeping just a bit more, and managing our stress a bit better all certainly may lead to weight loss in just 30 days. It certainly can set someone up to see consistent weight loss for months to come if the athlete continues to implement the principles we focus on.

Athletes are able to use this Kickstart to jump on the path toward any goal they choose. Weight loss, beach body, sport specific, and health centered goals are all able to benefit from these 30 days.

AM I COMPETING WITH OTHER ATHLETES? IS THERE A WINNER?

You are competing with the person you were when you fell into whatever struggle you are now working to overcome. For some of us its as simple as feeling we’ve slipped a little bit and just want to refocus and restart our efforts. For others we feel the last few years have knocked us around a bit and the drive we once felt has seemed to fade. This Kickstart will reignite that fire as you work checkpoint to checkpoint to make progress toward that old level of confidence and energy.

In a group Kickstart, we do reward effort. Athletes who remain responsive and who take advantage of the content and coaching offered will be recognized at the end. They are also the ones who will have the results to show for their commitment.
